the agent framework just got its own cve. pydantic-ai, the python library behind thousands of agent apps, disclosed cve-2026-107289 on oct 9 with a github advisory.
the prompt pipeline now ships a patch log.
Context
Verified dates: CVE-2026-107289 was published Oct 8, 2026 (Vulnerability-Lookup; notcve). It is titled 'Pydantic AI: SSRF cloud-metadata blocklist bypass via IPv6 zone identifier', rated 6.8 Medium on CVSS v3.1, and described as an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-46678 and CVE-2026-48782.
Pydantic AI's GitHub security advisories list earlier entries, including a web chat UI issue (Aug 12), unbounded memory use in web_fetch (Aug 8), a UI adapter tool call issue (Jul 11) and a Vercel AI adapter issue (Jun 10).
The CVE number and the framework match, but the CVE was published Oct 8, not Oct 9; the CVE.report page was last updated Oct 9. This is not the framework's first CVE: the sources read show several earlier Pydantic AI advisories from June to August 2026 and two earlier CVE numbers that this one follows up on. A second Pydantic AI CVE, CVE-2026-107290 (a medium event loop issue in web_fetch), was published the same day. 'The prompt pipeline now ships a patch log' is the author's opinion.
