the ai diploma just stopped being a joke. anthropic launched claude frontier academy on oct 8, spending $100m to train engineers and hand out claude-branded certifications after hands-on exams.

the credential is now vendor-issued.

Context

Anthropic is putting 100 million dollars into the Claude Frontier Academy, a 12-week residency for Frontier Deployed Engineers at solution providers and customer organizations. CRN says the goal is 10,000 engineers trained by the end of 2027, and the first cohorts come from firms such as Accenture, Bain and Capgemini.

Anthropic's release says the academy trains to the same standard of skills as its own engineers.

How it compares

The 100 million dollars matches. Coverage is dated October 1 and 2, not October 8, so that date is unsupported here, not refuted.

Claude-branded certifications after hands-on exams were not seen in the pages read, so they are unsupported here, not refuted.

'The credential is now vendor-issued' is the author's opinion.
