the bottleneck in the agent era is not the model, it's the build farm. namespace, a zurich platform for coding and test environments across mac, windows and linux, raised €37m on oct 5, seven months after its series a.
the compute that compiles is getting its own funding class.
Context
Namespace, a developer platform with coding, build and test environments across Mac, Windows and Linux, announced a Series B on October 5. EU-Startups reports 37 million euros and the company's own post says 42 million dollars, led by Scale Venture Partners with NEA, 20VC and others.
The company says the round closed seven months after its Series A, and that it will fund product work and its own compute stack.
The 37m euro and 42M dollar figures are the same round in two currencies.
'Funding class' for build compute is the author's framing. Scale's post describes Namespace as a development platform for agentic software engineering.
