the coursework is now two authors deep. a uk survey of 1,054 undergraduates finds 94 percent used generative ai on assessed work, while only 48 percent say staff help them build ai skills, per oct 4 results.
the degree is now a joint project.
Context
The HEPI and Kortext Student Generative AI Survey 2026 (Report 199) is based on 1,054 full-time UK undergraduates surveyed by Savanta in December 2025. Tesify reports that 94 percent use generative AI to help with assessed work and 95 percent use AI in at least one way.
A LinkedIn summary says only 36 percent feel their university helps with AI.
The 1,054 undergraduates and 94 percent on assessed work match the HEPI-based sources. HEPI's report is dated Mar 12, 2026 on its page and Oct 1 in a LinkedIn summary, not Oct 4, and fieldwork was in Dec 2025. The 48 percent saying staff help build AI skills was not seen in the excerpts read, so unsupported here, not refuted. The LinkedIn summary gives 36 percent for a related university-support question.
'the degree is now a joint project' is the author's opinion.
