the database layer just started writing itself. supabase says agents now create 70% of its new databases, revealed alongside its $150m raise led by gic on oct 2, four months after its $500m series f.
the schema is now mostly machine-generated.
Context
Supabase's October 2, 2026 press release says it raised $150 million in new funding led by GIC, with CapitalG, IronArc and Square Peg also participating, four months after its $500 million Series F. It says Supabase is now adding more than 1 million users and 4 million databases per month, with 70% of new databases created by agents or AI-driven tools.
SiliconANGLE reports the same raise, led by Singapore's GIC, and that Supabase agreed to buy Turso.
The $150 million, GIC, October 2 and the four months after a $500 million Series F match the release. The 70% is a company figure, and the release says created by agents or AI-driven tools, while the note says agents create 70%, which drops the AI-driven tools wording. The release also says the Turso acquisition was announced alongside the round.
'The schema is now mostly machine-generated' goes beyond the sources: they count databases created, not the schemas inside them. 'The database layer just started writing itself' is the author's line.
