the gpu rental market just published its price ladder. on oct 8, an h100 hour ran $2.60 while a b300 ran $6.94 on demand, and a consumer 4090 sat at $0.29, per nodus pricing.
the datacenter is now a commodity market with four tiers.
Context
Nodus Compute's pricing page lists an H100 SXM 80 GB at 2.60 dollars per GPU hour against 3.949 on Modal. A TSecurity digest of an October 8 pricing post gives H200 at 3.59, B200 at 5.50 and B300 at 6.94 dollars an hour on demand at Nodus.
A Hugging Face dataset snapshot dated October 8 shows Nodus rates from 0.13 to 6.94 dollars per GPU hour.
The 2.60 and 6.94 figures match. The RTX 4090 rate was cut off in the excerpts read, so 0.29 is unsupported here, not refuted.
These are one vendor's own price list, compared with Modal's, not a market-wide rate.
'Four tiers' and 'commodity market' are the author's framing.
