Context
China Telecom said on Oct 9, 2026 that its office AI agent TeleAgent passed 1.5 million registered users and over 200,000 daily active users, up from 27,000 registered users in mid-June.
TeleAgent comes from TeleAI and has an enterprise SaaS version and a private-deployment version released in mid-August that keeps model and data local.
The 1.5 million, 200,000 and 27,000 figures match China Telecom's release as carried by Sina HK. Chinese trade coverage dated Sep 23 already reports the same user figures from the PT Expo opening, so the numbers predate the Oct 9 release. 'Telecom product' is the author's framing.
'the enterprise assistant just became a telecom product' is the author's opinion.
