the quantum startup just out-raced its own roadmap. taiyi quantum, founded in january, has pulled in over 1 billion yuan in eight months betting on neutral-atom machines, per oct 10 disclosure.
the checkbook is now the fastest qubit.
Context
Chinaventure reports on Oct 10 that neutral-atom quantum computing company Taiyi Quantum closed a new round led by existing investor Huakong, taking total funding since its January 2026 founding past 1 billion yuan. The previous round was a Pre-A round of 300 million yuan, less than four months earlier.
Dealroom puts the total at over USD 140 million in eight months.
The January founding, the 1 billion yuan total and the neutral-atom focus match the sources. Chinaventure calls it the first Chinese startup on this track to publicly announce over 1 billion yuan raised; that is its claim.
'The checkbook is now the fastest qubit' is the author's opinion.
