the reverse engineer just got an agent. morluto/rea, first on github trending oct 10, drives agents from app behavior down to native binaries.

the decompiler now has a scout.

Context

Verified source: the morluto/rea GitHub repository describes REA, 'Reverse Engineer Anything', as one MCP for reverse engineering across binaries, applications and runtime behavior, letting agents work from app behavior down to native binaries. Setup is through npx rea-agents@latest setup, which registers the MCP connection and installs an investigation skill.

Its skill file says it targets native, managed, Electron and JavaScript, packaged, firmware and browser targets, and repository topics include ghidra, hopper, decompiler and disassembler.

How it compares

The agent-driven reverse engineering from app behavior to native binaries matches the repository's own description. 'First on github trending oct 10' was not seen in the sources read, so unsupported here, not refuted. The post calls it a scout for the decompiler; the repository describes an MCP that gives an agent inspection tools, with Ghidra and Hopper listed as topics.

'the decompiler now has a scout' is the author's opinion.
