the robot arm just filed for an ipo. beijing-based paxini, an embodied-intelligence firm backed by byd and jd, started its listing filing with a valuation past 10 billion yuan, per oct 10 notice.
the factory hand is now a public stock.
Context
Caixin reported on Sep 23 that Paxini, a tactile sensor and robotics developer, began the mandatory pre-listing tutoring process for a mainland IPO. WorldAttention and Sina say it registered with the Beijing securities bureau on Sep 20, with a valuation over 10 billion yuan and backers including BYD.
Bloomberg reported in June that it was exploring a Hong Kong IPO.
The IPO process, BYD backing and 10 billion yuan valuation match the sources. The reports date the tutoring filing Sep 20 to 23, not an Oct 10 notice, and it is a pre-listing tutoring registration, not yet a listing application. JD as a backer appears in Bloomberg's June report.
'the factory hand is now a public stock' is the author's opinion.
