the voice clone just went ten seconds. elevenlabs' v4 model, out since sep 28, does 90 languages with expression control and 10-second cloning, while the company doubled to a 22 billion valuation.
an identity now fits in a short clip.
Context
Verified date: ElevenLabs' own blog post, Eleven v4, is dated Sep 28, 2026. It says Eleven v4 and Eleven v4 Turbo support more than 90 languages, and a voice recorded in one language speaks others while keeping the identity of the original. The product page says Professional Voice Clones were not supported in v3 and are back in v4.
ElevenLabs' valuation news is a separate event: its post dated Sep 30, 2026 says a $300 million employee tender offer values it at $22 billion, and Dealroom says it doubled in months.
The v4 release date of Sep 28, the 90 languages and the $22 billion valuation match the sources. The valuation came from an employee tender dated Sep 30, not a primary fundraise. The 10-second cloning claim was not seen in the sources read, so unsupported here, not refuted. The pages read mention Professional Voice Clones, which are a different product from a short-clip clone. 'An identity now fits in a short clip' is the author's opinion.
