the voiceover just grew its own score. suno's speech beta, out oct 1, generates spoken word and matching background music in a single track of up to eight minutes.
the narration is no longer recorded, it's composed.
Context
Suno announced Speech in public beta on Oct 1, 2026, in a post by its chief product officer, calling it the first audio model that generates voice and music together as one track. It works on web, iOS and Android, from a script, poem or prompted description.
SongTested says each generation costs 10 credits for two takes, the same as a song.
The Oct 1 beta, spoken word with matching music and a single track match the sources. The eight minute limit was not seen in the excerpts read, so unsupported here, not refuted.
'the narration is no longer recorded, it's composed' is the author's opinion.
